Be objective, take a step back and look at your house through the eyes of the buyer. This does not mean you have to spend lots of money doing your house up but maybe spending more time decluttering and gettin few tins of paint.

Clean and tidy, spend the time to do a good spring clean. Take it one room at a time and pull out the furniture and take notes as you go jotting down areas that need a lick of paint or a repair job.

Declutter, use this as the time to get rid of the things you no longer use. Having the house feeling airy and spacious will give your potential buyers a more positive feeling.

All in all make the house look and feel inviting by buying a few extra cushions for the bed. Buy some fresh flowers to put in the hallway, first impressions are important and make your house stick out from the rest.
